individuals to go beyond what they thought was the limit of their
spiritual, physical and mental growth.
World Zendo Karate & Gym is for everyone. Age, sex, physical prowess
and body strength are not important. We welcome all types of people
from all walks of life. Each progress at his or her own pace. Our instructors understand that people have different reasons for
training and as such their instructions take this into account. However
discipline and order are never compromised. Whatever your motivation, physical fitness, self defense, mental discipline,
toning, strength building or sliming, World Zendo Karate provides capable instructors who will take care of all of that. Financial

What is Zendo Karate?
World Zendo Kai Kan Karate is a Japanese form of Martial Art created
by sosai Lambert Plummer on July 27, 1993. It is the first martial
art system to be created in Jamaica. A superior form of exercise and self
defense, Zendo is a complete programme of physical and mental conditioning
that is both safe and effective for persons of all ages. A Martial Arts practitioner with over thirty years experience; twenty
five years as an instructor,sosai Plummer studied Kyokushin Kai and
Seido Karate.
How many Branches of World Zendo Kai Kan Karate are there in Jamaica?
In addition to Honbu, Spanish Town, World Zendo karate has
two main branches. One at Daytona Avenueand washington boulivard , Kingston and
the other in May Pen, Clarendon. For more information on both branches

some prep schools.

At what age can I start?
From as early as age four.
Does World Zendo Kai Kan Karate attend Tournaments?
Yes. World Zendo Kai Kan Karate participates at most local and some overseas
tournaments. The US Open Karate Championship in Orlando, Florida, USA and the Battle of Atlanta in Alanta, Georgia, USA are calender events.
Will I get injured?
This depends largely on how prepared you are. We strongly recommend
that you use safety equipment when doing any form of fighting or sparring.
How long will it take me to reach Black Belt?
This depends on how fast the individual progress. At World Zendo,
there is a syllabus in which each student has to complete. That being
the case, it will take you about three to four years before you reach
the black belt level.
How many black belt has World Zendo Kai Kan Karate produced?
Since we started in 1993, World Zendo has produced over eighty
black belt. Some have migrated while some have gone on to
start their own school. At present there are over twenty active black
belts. Four students join the ranks and higher belts within the rank on June 3, 2007. |
